Kona Sunrise Rotary is partnering with Adult Protective and Community Services, which is a branch of the Department of Human Services, Kona and Hilo Home Depots and Incom Welding of Kona. The main work force will be provided by Home Depot employees. The project involves installing a ramp for a 71-year-old woman with multiple sclerosis who is also the caregiver for her husband who has advanced Parkinson’s and early Alzheimer’s.
Both projects are supported by a Rotary International District Grant. Two additional projects are waiting to be identified and completed by July.
